4I like them  Nov 04, 2008 By James G. Bennett Jr. "jgbennett2"
Churchill fins are named for Owen Churchill, the man who invented swim fins prior to WW2. The first pair I ever saw was in the very early 1950s. In those days they were green and one of the few types of fin available, so they were very popular with divers. Since then the selection of fins has expanded dramatically and Churchills fell out of favor with the diving fraternity. The knock on them is that they don't deliver enough thrust. Up to a point, it's true; it just depends on what you use them for. If you are competing for the world championship in spearfishing, there are better choices. However, if you are doing pool training or light duty snorkeling, they can be a very good choice. Their big advantage is comfort. In my experience, they will not tire a weekend athlete the way stiffer fins can. In addition, I have a very high instep and can experience considerable foot cramping with the high performance type fins. In all the years I've used Churchills, I've never had a foot cramp with them. That's why I still use them.

5Great service  Jun 04, 2009 By Judy L. Hausman "Judy Hausman"
I orginally ordered a size that did not fit and had no problem whatsoever
returning the fins for the next larger size. Shipment was received quickly both times.
